Virtual Event: The Business Perspective on Decarbonization Policies

With the beginning of the Biden-Harris Administration and the start of a new session of Congress, efforts to decarbonize the economy are getting renewed attention with announcements being made seemingly every day on new net zero pledges, new partnerships designed to boost advanced technologies and new products and services designed to help the U.S. meet mid-century climate goals.

Much of that attention has focused on what policies the new Administration will promote and the chances such policies face in a divided Congress. Central to this conversation is the role of U.S. business in opposing, considering or embracing these options. To help understand what business leaders think about these policies and what might happen next as they are being considered in D.C., we’re hosting an on-the-record press briefing with three CEOs/Presidents this week:

On Thursday, March 25 from 1:30pm – 2:30pm EDT, these three business leaders will join RENEWPR President Ben Finzel to discuss what they're doing, what they're seeing from their partners and what they think Washington needs to know about the business community's commitment to advancing this conversation.

The briefing will provide reporters with an opportunity to hear from three C-suite leaders with expertise on key issues affecting ongoing conversations on Capitol Hill and in the Biden Administration about the policies that will be required to help the U.S. meet mid-century climate goals. Topics to be addressed include: carbon pricing, agricultural methane emissions, carbon capture and utilization and carbon offsets.

To join us, interested reporters may email us at team@renewpr.com for an invitation.
